Improvements to roadside plantings introduced textural layers to soften expansive paved surfaces creating a lush sub-tropical feel. A cluster of specimen Green Buttonwood Trees will provide an iconic terminus to Lincoln Road and be uplit at night highlighting the sculptural characteristics of the Buttonwood trunks.

Native and naturalized salt-tolerant palms are strategically placed to scale the building and shade pedestrian walkways and gathering spaces, while dark modular granite pavers create a foundation for the building to rest upon while delineating public and private spaces.

The proposed canopy structure merges with the existing hotel entry colonnade to provide additional shade and protection from the elements as well as casting shade patters on the paving below.
